What's Leaving Netflix in July 2026 — Finish These Before They Go

Published June 12, 2026 · TV Tracker editorial

July is a heavy month for Netflix removals in the US. A large batch of licensed movies and several long-running series exit on July 1, and removals continue almost weekly through the end of the month — including some Netflix Originals, which surprises a lot of people. If any of these are sitting in your watchlist half-finished, now is the time to plan your final sessions.

The Gilmore Girls question

A removal notice is currently being tracked for all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls. It has not been fully confirmed — similar notices have been withdrawn before (Arrested Development's was renewed earlier this year) — but if Stars Hollow is on your comfort-rewatch rotation, treat July as your warning window rather than waiting to find out.

Big movies going July 1

The movie purge is substantial: Bohemian Rhapsody, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, American Hustle, Deepwater Horizon, Field of Dreams, My Girl, Steel Magnolias, The Wiz, and the entire Madagascar franchise (all three films plus Penguins of Madagascar) all exit on the first of the month. Later in July, recent first-window theatrical titles wrap up their runs: Saturday Night (July 25), then Dog Man and Here (July 30).

The real problem isn't the list — it's remembering it.

Removal dates change, get extended, or appear with two weeks' notice. TV Tracker Premium watches your library for you and sends Leaving Soon alerts 14, 7, and 2 days before a show you're actively watching disappears — so you finish on your schedule, not the platform's. The free plan tracks up to 10 shows with one-tap episode logging, no ads, no install.

How to triage your list before July 1

Count the episodes you have left, not the shows. A half-finished season of a drama is roughly 5 hours; the Madagascar movies are 90 minutes each. Knock out the single-evening items first, then commit your remaining June weekends to the one series you'd genuinely regret losing. And archive anything you've quietly given up on — an honest watchlist is a usable watchlist.

Removal dates are based on Netflix US removal notices as compiled by What's on Netflix (June 3, 2026) and are subject to change — licenses get extended and notices get withdrawn. Dates may differ outside the US. TV Tracker is not affiliated with Netflix.
